Uniform Expectations
At Iceni Academy, we have the highest expectations of student uniform. We believe that wearing our uniform with pride helps to create a strong sense of community, promotes equality, and ensures that students are ready to learn from the moment they arrive at the academy each day.
A smart and consistent approach to uniform reflects our values of Work Hard, Aim High, Be Kind. It helps foster a culture of ambition, respect and belonging, while also preparing students for the high expectations they will encounter in further education and the workplace.
Our uniform is particularly special because it has been shaped by the voices of our students. The uniform worn by students in Years 7 and 8 was designed by a previous Student Leadership Team as part of their commitment to improving the academy. The colours chosen were carefully selected to represent the local community and landscape that surrounds us. The green reflects the fields that are such a prominent feature of our area, while the gold represents the crops that have long been part of our local heritage. As a result, our uniform is more than just what we wear; it is a symbol of our identity and pride in the Iceni community.
We ask all students to wear their uniform correctly at all times and appreciate the support of parents and carers in maintaining these standards. By working together, we can ensure that every student represents themselves and the academy in a positive and professional manner.
